    Get COVID Secure – Before you return to work you MUST ensure your business is COVID Secure. This means you must have suitable controls in place to protect employees, customers, visitors etc from Corona virus. These controls may include social distancing, extra cleaning and/or PPE. You must conduct a risk assessment to identify what controls are required, if you have 5 or more employees this must be document and if you have over 50 employees you are expected to publicise your risk assessment, normally via your website.

    Assess workforce requirements – Do you require all of the workforce to return? If not, what skills, experience, qualifications etc are required? Can you demonstrate that you e followed a fair and reasonable process to get to this point? Are any employees shielding? Remember all previous legislation relating to discrimination still applies.

    Communicate with staff – You must communicate with staff what your intentions are and how you plan to get them back to work. If they have any concerns you need to address them.
