Career Path:
I started out in retail and beauty, I wanted a Job with people that was not your average paper round; the original plan was to go into philosphy education, this did not pan out due to what was available to me, midwifery was the alternate and this did not engage me enough. I fell into hospitality and soon found my love for it and climbed the ranks quite quickly despite obstacles put in my way, I thrived in this industry until I wanted more; HR was that missing piece, I was told I was too positive and not to dream, so what did I do, did it anyway! – I have now been in the big world of HR and Employment Law for just over a year and my unique experience allows me to bring pragmatic, operational and best practice views and methods into the fold.
