Bio
Maryam has over 25 years of experience in employment law and HR-related matters, advising employers on complex issues including TUPE, unfair dismissal and discrimination cases, settlement agreements, and workplace hearings. She currently manages a team of Employment Law Consultants within the Advice Department at Avensure and provides strategic support to the SMT and Board members.
Maryam began her career with the Metropolitan Police Service after graduating with a Law degree. During her tenure, she was sponsored to complete an LLM in Arbitration & Mediation and became a member of the Mediation Committee, helping to resolve disputes before they reached tribunals. She has been recognised for her dedication with the Avensure People Award in 2022.

Maryam is responsible for managing the Employment Law Consultants within the Advice Department, ensuring consistent, high-quality guidance is delivered to clients. She also supports the Avensure SMT and Board, advising on strategic HR and employment law matters. Her work includes overseeing the resolution of workplace disputes, drafting documentation, chairing hearings, and providing guidance on complex employment law cases.
