- Who this is for
This notice explains how Avensure Limited (“Avensure”, “we”, “us”) handles personal data if you visit our website, get in touch with us, or if we hold your contact details as a prospective client — including where those details were purchased or leased from a third-party data provider rather than given to us directly. It doesn’t cover our existing clients or their employees, or our own staff — separate notices apply to them.

- Where your information comes from
We may hold your business contact details in one of the following ways:
- You gave them to us directly — for example, by submitting a form on one of our websites, downloading a resource, or signing up for a newsletter
- You engaged with us as part of a sales conversation — for example, after a call or meeting
- We purchased or leased your details from a third-party business data provider, as part of researching organisations who may benefit from our services. Where we do this, we carry out due diligence checks on the provider to satisfy ourselves they had a lawful basis to share your information with us
- What we use it for, and our legal basis
- To respond to an enquiry you’ve made, or provide information you’ve requested — Article 6(1)(b)/(f) UK GDPR
- To contact you about our services where we consider you may have a genuine interest, in line with direct marketing rules under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and Article 6(1)(f) (legitimate interests)
- To understand how our website and product are used, in aggregate, so we can improve them — Article 6(1)(f). This includes analysis carried out across all users of our systems, not just individually, to inform product development
- Cookies and analytics
Our websites and product use analytics tools (including Google Analytics and Mixpanel) to understand how they’re used. These tools may set cookies or similar identifiers, and some processing takes place outside the UK. Where a transfer mechanism (such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum) is required, we either have this in place or are actively finalising it — full detail on each vendor’s current position is available on request. You can control non-essential cookies through the cookie banner on our websites
- How long we keep it
- Contact details purchased or leased from a third-party provider, where we haven’t engaged with you: retained only for the licensed period from the provider, currently 12 months, after which unused records are deleted
- Contact details where you’ve engaged with us but haven’t yet become a client: approximately 2 years from your last contact with us
- Contact details once you become a client: retained for the duration of our relationship and for 6 years afterwards, in line with standard limitation periods
- Your rights
- Ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that’s inaccurate or incomplete
- Ask us to delete your information, or restrict how we use it
- Object to our use of your information for direct marketing at any time, with no exceptions — we will always honour this
- Object to other uses of your information where we rely on legitimate interests
- Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information
To exercise any of these rights, or to opt out of marketing, contact us using the details above, or use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
